The analysis of the specialized literature shows that the research into the phenomenon of terrorism has been going on for a long time. However, the legal doctrine examined, for the most part, the criminal law and forensic aspects of terrorism. At the same time, we note a certain lack of forensic literature dedicated to the methodology for the investigation of terrorist crimes. This state of affairs is largely due to the lack of a justified scientific methodology regarding the investigation of such crimes, a fact that determines the insufficient professional training of the representatives of law enforcement bodies.
