It contributes with research concerning the use of iPod units and the possibilities that come with it in integrating listening activities into a language course and in supporting the English language teaching and learning process. The study reveals how the research led to reconsidering the English language teacher’s Information Technology competencies and enlists the key competences required to use the iPod units in language teaching.
