Abstract

This article deals with the category of politeness in communication based on the works of linguists. Politeness as an element of everyday communication provides a stable and conflict-free process, as it is a regulator of human behaviour. The aim of the article is to analyse the most used everyday means of expression, both linguistic and grammatical, used by representatives of different cultures to implement the category of politeness in the process of communication, as well as to prove the necessity of using polite forms at the lesson of German as a foreign language.
