Abstract
Key factors influencing personal development and socialisation often include the attitude and behaviour of parents, family members and peers, and traditional social or community values. Disability and/or international development programmes tend to focus on children, young people or adults, the opportunities for them to develop skills and participate in community life. People with disabilities often experience social exclusion and discrimination and do not have the same access to human rights as their non-disabled peers. It’s time for changes, every change means a chance for disabled people.
