Lexico-semantic field of the word colour is vast, but it can always be completed with such units as of the colour of… (entity), a phrase that “contains” a colour-prototype, known by all speakers, who always feel the necessity to express a colour, a shade of colour, a tone, and offer a large variety of combinatorial possibilities, such as: de culoarea cerului azuriu, de culoarea lemnului, de culoarea cafelei cu lapte etc.
