Abstract

This article explores the specific features and peculiarities of the Constitution of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. Special attention is given to its uncodified nature in comparison with the constitutions of Romano-Germanic legal systems, as well as to the principle of parliamentary sovereignty. The article also examines the structure of institutions, the role of the monarch, the actual power of the government, and the significant role of the judiciary. The flexibility of the constitutional system, stemming from the absence of a single codified act, is analyzed.
