Abstract
In this article problems concerning the philosophy of technique are approached , which represent a form of applied theoretical philosophy, because in the XX-XXI century, the development of the technique, it`s place and it`s role in society, it`s importance for the future of human civilization becomes an object of systematic research. At the beginning it is made a brief overview in the development of the concepts of the philosophy technique from the XiX-XX century through the analysis of the works of E. Kapp, Al. Espinas, Fr. Dessauer, M. Heidegger, K. Jaspers, Ortega y Gasset and N. Berdiaeff. Moving on, the author refers to the subject of the philosophy of technology, which researches : firstly, the phenomenon of the technique in general, secondly, not only the intrinsic development, but also the place and role of the technique in the general social development, thirdly it is taken into consideration a comprehensive historical perspective.
