Abstract
The article under consideration pays attention to the most frequent forms of domestic violence which are presently faced by aged persons in urban environment. The violence against advanced in years persons represents a social issue of the modern societies. The violence against aged persons is a social problem which attention has been lately granted by researches from the field of social gerontology. In the last two decades the given problem has gradually become one of the major concerns for specialists in this field. They have comprehended that aged persons represent the most vulnerable age group towards different forms of aggression and violence displayed in a modern society.
