Abstract
The current amplification and diversification of international relations creates conditions for the birth to an increasing extent of legal relations between natural persons, including one or more elements of foreignness, a fact due to which these relations are placed under the scope of the norms of private international law. Among these relationships, family ones are the most common. Family relations with a foreign element require solving a series of problems related to the determination of the law applicable to the form and substance of the conclusion, divorce and annulment of the marriage, the recognition of these acts if they took place abroad.
