Abstract

The article addresses a current topic for teachers working in primary education, namely, the difficulties of learning mathematics. The specialized literature is analyzed regarding the general learning difficulties and the specific learning difficulties of mathematics - dyscalculia. Subtypes of dyscalculia and some strategies for stimulating cognitive processes in primary school students with learning difficulties in mathematics are identified in order to recover fromlearning difficulties.
