Abstract

In this scientific publication is described the history of the mayor Ion Arhip Colesnic from the town of Grinăuţi-Raia (Ocniţa district), who was deported by the Soviet power to Siberia. This research was carried out using the following information sources: the files of the National Archives Agency of the Republic of Moldova, the monograph „Cartea Memoriei” Volume III and pictures taken from the family album of Nicolae Arhip Colesnic (son of Ion Arhip Colesnic).
