Abstract
This article analyzes the concept and role of innovations within companies to achieve their success. The global economic competition denotes that those countries are winning, which offers favorable conditions for scientific research and technological progress. Therefore, success in global competition between companies is directly related to state policies in the field of science and technology. Thus, the change of external environment situation requires the redefinition of the role and place of innovation in the activity of the company, thus occupying the place of a key factor for success in the market competition.
