Abstract
It is demonstrated that employees' motivation has a direct influence on their performance. In this context, higher education institutions are not an exception. Teachers should be motivated because it influences both their professional and personal development and student performances. This is why it is very important to determine the motivation factors of the university staff and their influence on teachers' activity.
