Autenticitatea reportajului românesc în limba franceză [Articol]
    (USARB, 2014) Vrabie, Diana
Panait Istrati’s book, Spovedanie pentru învinşi, can be considered the “novel” of the relations of the author with the Soviet Union, being also the “card” of the citizen writer, fighter for freedom and social justice. The authenticity of the report derives from the reconstruction based on the author’s memory, returned to Paris after sixteen months in the U.S.S.R., and also from the sincerity of his tone. Written in French language and built on the European report size, Spovedanie pentru învinşi, can be interpreted as a pretty random connection between the journal and pamphlet.

The Correlation between Historiography and Literature of Confession [Articol]
    (USARB, 2014) Vrabie, Diana
Correspondence, alongside with autobiographies, memoirs and diaries, belongs to the literature of confession. Being a literary perception, it also maintains its quality as a source of information for historiographers. It is difficult to identify from confessional writing how much belongs to the actual history and how much is literature. The present study will offer some suggestions on this perspective and will provide a historical retrospective of the Epistle which reveals its contradictory way to great literature. We shall try to delineate between the actual and the literary correspondence, making some reference to the poetics of communication. In this respect, we shall address the following dichotomies: private/public correspondence, documentary/authentic/fictional correspondence etc.

    Între autenticitate şi anticalofilie [Articol]
    (USARB, 2006) Vrabie, Diana

    (USARB, 2016) Vrabie, Diana
In Journal Franz Kafka reveals his inner world with feelings, complexes and its sorrows. The refrain of all reflections is the apologia of literature and writing. He has a great confidence in the power of literature and is skeptical about his ability to write. The writer is being saved through writing. For Kafka, writing is first of all confession. At the same time the journal projects the saddest and most Kafkaesque character. The sadness of this character derives from his loneliness which is a tragic one. Thus, the journal projects a veritable mythology of grievance and of living in the name of writing.

    (USARB, 2014) Vrabie, Diana
André Gide’s model of author faithful to his characters represents a turning point in modern narratology. Authors lost among their characters, heroes who ignore their author, characters who go from one author to another – these are just a few of the spectacular instances of metalepsis inspired from Gide’s model. His followers, other authors will vow allegiance toheir characters. Then, postmodern writers boldly formulated the context where the character imposes its own destiny against the author’s will. To Matei Vișniec, the theatre becomes a huge hall where the character becomes the judge of its own creator.

    Rezilienţa (post)pandemica prin lectură [Articol]
    (USARB, 2022) Vrabie, Diana
In a context where we daily observe the extreme vulnerability of our way of life so far and glimpse the future only through the lens of fear mixed with hope, we need more acutely than ever to encourage the permanence and infinity of the books, to reanimate the human, in a collateral effort of intellectual and spiritual survival. Literature has the power to bring into the clarity of language the confused architecture of our inner experiences, to relate personal histories to traditions of thought, to discover meaning in the labyrinth of the present, to help us survive, ultimately, in a context of isolation sad, over which lies boredom and anguish, fear and anxiety. Even if in what is written today, we find, in essence, recurring literary themes, they breathe a new semantics. Basically, the literature of the "state of emergency" is about what the philosophy of joy and hope entails today; about how the near is redefined in relation to the far; about anxiety as a condition of the spirit or a cultural one, about the transformation of the energy of fear into a positive content, about the test of resistance over time, in the end because people are human to the end, to the extent that they are solidary and cultural. Or, first of all, cultural.

Solomon Marcus: pledoarie pentru „Dialogul disciplinelor” [Articol]
    (USARB, 2020) Vrabie, Diana
An interdisciplinary researcher, involved in various scientific fields, from the mathematical analysis and general topology to linguistics, poetics, semiotics and applications of mathematics in the natural sciences, Solomon Marcus has shown, from the beginning of his career, a deep interest in what regards the problems of education and a strong will in creating the premises for a dialogue of disciplines in the educational system. In the present study we will follow the plea for transdisciplinarity of the researcher, as reflected in his representative works: Singurătatea matematicianului (Mathematician‟s Loneliness), Copiii sub agresiune (Children under Aggression), Nevoia de oameni (The need for People) etc.
