    The aim of this study is to scrutinize the digital economy within the Republic of Moldova and assess the repercussions of digitization on the national economy. Succinctly, this paper delineates the various methodologies employed globally to gauge the digital economy, as adopted by diverse nations and specialized institutions. Furthermore, it outlines recent endeavors in digital taxation across various countries, along with forthcoming initiatives set forth by the OECD and the European Commission at a regional scale.
