Ascultarea activă – abilitate fundamentală care aduce succesul în procesul de mediere [Articol]
(USARB, 2024) Briceag, Silvia; Rusu, Maria
Active listening is essential for mediators who want to effectively facilitate communication between the parties involved in a conflict. This skill allows the mediator to understand not only the words being spoken but also the emotions and intentions behind them. Through techniques such as paraphrasing, open-ended questions, and feedback, the mediator creates a safe space where participants feel heard and respected. The article emphasizes that active listening not only helps clarify issues but also builds trust and fosters a collaborative atmosphere. Mediators who excel in this skill can more easily identify the underlying interests of the parties and facilitate creative solutions, thereby contributing to the success of the mediation process.
