    In the present study is investigated the relationship between user and librarian. A librarian should be aware that the relationship with the user represents a core component of her/his labour. When dealing with users is extremely important human aspect. Communication with users are based on the ethical aspects of librarian qualities. He must combine the qualities of the psychologist and educator and is obliged to know each individual user. A librarian is a promoter of spiritual values and an initiator of cultural relations.

    Dimensiuni valorice ale colecţiei de publicaţii periodice româneşti [Articol]

    Publicaţiile periodice reprezintă o importantă sursă de informare şi cunoaştere pentru toate categoriile de utilizatori. Ele conţin, în general, informaţia cea mai nouă dintr-un domeniu şi sînt deosebit de utile în comunităţile ştiinţifice. Dintr-o întreagă tipologie documentară, publicaţiile periodice se disting prin caracteristicile lor specifice care le fac să fie principalul instrument de difuzare a informaţiei ştiinţifice. Colecţia de publicaţii periodice româneşti ocupă un loc important în fondul publicaţiilor periodice al Bibliotecii Universitare. Ea acoperă o perioadă de timp începînd cu anul 1884 şi pînă în prezent, diversitatea ei fiind foarte mare.

    In the present study we want to bring to the attention of users titles register of magazines in the collection of Romanian periodicals, covering the needs of the users in the process of study, information and scientific research . This collection is an inestimable spiritual value for our library. The tables contain information about titles, issue years, availability and fullness of this collection. The wholeness of the collection of the Romanian magazines was calculated on the basis of documents existing in Library collection.

    Gabriel Garcia Marquez – 80 de ani de la naştere [Articol]

    În articol autoarea descrie viaţa şi activitatea marelui scriitor Gabriel Garcia Marquez. Cele mai cunoscute romane ale lui G. Garcia Marquez pot fi găsite şi în colecţia bibliotecii. Citiorii pot lectura aceste capodopere în limba spaniolă, engleză, franceză, română şi rusă, apărute la diferite edituri din lume: Alfred A. Knopf (New York), Era (Mexico), Paris, Barselona, Buenos Aires, Moskova. Beneficiarilor care nu posedă limbile străine, vor găsi în Biblioteca textele lui Marquez traduse în limba română.

Utilizatori fideli ai softului Mendeley sunt și universităţile, centrele ştiinţifice, bibliotecile universitare din ţările europene, SUA, Marea Britanie, Canada, Australia, America de Sud.

    Portaluri ştiinţifice globale – sursă relevantă de acoperire a necesităţilor informaţionale ale utilizatorilor USARB [Articol]

    Access to scientific information in Bălţi institution has developed considerably since 2001, when the library was connected to the Internet. For 15 years librarians have learned to adapt to the varied needs of students and teachers and fitted with multiple activities. Supporting Open Access movement and as a member of the Consortium REM (Electronic Resources for Moldova) Balti university was integrated in the international circuit of scientific information and provides access to 39 databases containing 47 105 periodicals. The analysis of statistics shows that the number of accesses to EBSCO, SpringerLink and EIFL resources constitute 50% of total e-consultations of scientific resources offered by USARB Scientific Library.

    Sintagma mit şi poezie în colecţia Bibliotecii

    Reflected over time as being a form of perception of an era, the myth adapts its forms to participate in the knowledge of the world, occupying a privileged place in critical studies and literary history. This article brings out in the forefront the most eloquent studies with some underlines on the metamorphosis myth in poetry, depending on age, circumstances, current artistic and literary personality of the author both of Romanian literature and universal, as well as their size in determining historic literary movement. The research that I have developed here trying to sketch out the outstanding literary texts from the collection of the Scientific Library of the State University of Balti.

    The article points out the metamorphoses of the myth in Romanian and universal literature.It was shown the relations the myth and literature, the mith and poetry, similarities and difference in Romanian and universal myths explored by many literary critics. The number of literary creations inspired by myths is huge: poetry, poems, numerous short stories and novels.The research was carried out on the basis of collection of University Scientific Library of Balti: 100 Romanian poetry, 100 Russian poetry, Ukrainean-47, in foreign languages-44.
