Item Bref aperçu sur l’emprunt de l’anglais en français (les anglicismes) [Articol](USARB, 2024) Creciun, Dana; Foghel, Ecaterina, conducător şt.Today, the English language is spoken in various corners of the world; it is used in the fields of work, technology, education, tourism, and in many other domains. Unfortunately, in some countries, such as France, English words are increasingly used by speakers instead of finding equivalents in their own language. This linguistic phenomenon is known under the name of Anglicism. The French Academy fights against this phenomenon every day, but the results are not visible. The question that arises is whether it is possible to fight against this phenomenon. Therefore, the purpose of this article is to consider some solutions related to the issue of Anglicisms use rise in the French language. Thus, we will first discuss the historical context within which Anglicisms emerged in the French language. We will see what the term Anglicism means, also mentioning its typology. Then we will discuss the impact of Anglicisms on the French language. At the same time, we will try to understand why it is easier for the French to use English words in some domains, such as the field of work, education, technology, instead of using French equivalents. Translation is a functional bridge between languages. Translation studies are given particular attention within the era we are living in. These studies are relevant for various fields of human activity and the translation of user guides gets a special importance in this context. User manuals are conceived as guides aimed at the connection between the producer and the user of a technical product. A clear and comprehensible translation of a user manual should take into account not only linguistic but also scientific and terminological norms.Item Intertextualité et originalité dans les fables de la fontaine [Articol](USARB, 2024) Glavan, Carolina; Foghel, Ecaterina, conducător şt.Every literary work is special and unique in its own way, but it seems axiomatic that elements of intertextuality would be found there, such as: themes, expressions, plot patterns common to other works. This is a proof of the fact that many authors were inspired by some of their predecessors and interacted with their works in a subtle way. Still, having similar traits of the expression manner or treating the same themes of human existence, nature, love etc., does not reveal a lack of originality. It just emphasizes the diversity of literary influences. In this article we aim to ascertain the above ideas on the example of the fables of the French author Jean de La Fontaine, highlighting some of the signs of the evolution of intellectual approaches to some subject matters through intertextuality.
