At the meeting were announced the results of ALRM National Contests ,,The Best Librarian of the Year 2015, ,,The best works in the field of library and information science in 2015, The Republican Contest,, The Library – a partner in promoting intellectual property organized by AIP. The worthiest librarians were mentioned with diplomas and prizes.

    Achiziţia şi eliminarea documentelor - procese esenţiale în menţinerea calităţii colecţiei [Articol]

    Colecţiile Bibliotecii reflectă diversitatea şi bogăţia patrimoniului academic: cărţi, publicaţii în serie, documente de muzică tipărită, manuscrise, documente grafice, audiovizuale, electronice etc. Orizontul tematic şi lingvistic al colecţiilor este universal. În articol este reflectat procesele de achiziţie şi eliminare, care sânt activităţi absolut necesare, părţi ale unui program de dezvoltare a colecţiilor. Cel mai important aspect din activitatea Bibliotecii rămîne dezvoltarea colecţiilor pe diverse suporturi. Secretul succesului constituirii şi dezvoltării unei colecţii valoroase de bibliotecă se află în realizarea acesteia în mod ritmic, conform unei strategii clare, judicioase şi aplicate la cerinţele comunităţii universitare.

    Activitatea de conservare a documentelor prin metode de recondiţionare desfăşurată la BŞ USARB [Articol]

    In this article we present the activity of the USARB in the process of preserving the collections by means of reconditioning, through which thousands of documents, valuable books,books that deal with the disease of time. These works on binding, document reconditioning, and the process of stopping physical wear are done in the Binding, organized in the library and endowed with the respective equipment.

    Carte cu autograf şi dedicaţii : catalog

    În bogata colecţie enciclopedică deţinută de Biblioteca Ştiinţifică a Universităţii de Stat „A. Russo”din Bălţi, cărţile rare, constituie o resursă documentară deosebit de valoroasă, sau parafrazîndu-l pe Umberto Eco, un adevărat „labirint al minţii”. Pe unele exemplare din această colecţie întîlnim dedicaţii şi semnături olografe ale personalităţilor româneşti şi universale sau semne de proprietate cum ar fi ex-libris-uri de diferite forme, gravuri sau ştampile. Aceste lucrări constituie colecţia specială „Cărţi cu autograf şi dedicaţii” care numără peste 820 volume, donate de cadrele didactice, personalităţi din ţară şi străinătate, în catalog fiind incluse doar 611 documente.

    Prezenta lucrare constitue o continuare a catalogului „Carte cu autograf şi dedicaţii” editat în anul 2010. Acest volum cuprinde cărţile cu autograf şi dedicaţii, pe care le - a primit ca donaţie BŞ USARB din anul 2010 pînă în prezent. Au fost incluse şi unele documente, care la momentul întocmirii primului catalog au fost omise din motiv că se aflau în circulaţie. Lucrarea se constituie într-o pledoarie dintre secretele trecutului şi urzelile prezentului, cei doi piloni ai relaţiilor dintre oamenii din trecut şi prezent. Textul dedicaţiilor reprezintă transcrierea însemnărilor manuscrise ale autorilor, donatorilor, persoanelor care au fost posesoare ale acestor cărţi.

    Carte de patrimoniu din colecţia lui Dan George Dimitrescu

    Balti University Library collection was complemented with a new private collection „Dan George Dimitrescu” in 2014. The late owner of rich and varied collections graduated the Faculty of Instillations in Bucharest. He worked as an engineer before leaving for Sweden in 1988. Before his death, he wanted to donate books that accompanied him throughout his life to a university library in Moldova. Destiny brought his collection of 2608 documents in 2578 titles, including 1774 unique items in various languages (Romanian, English, French, German, Latin, Italian, Spanish, Russian).in USARB Scientific Library

True biblical values have today become the books on which the dedication or Ex-Libris of the author is preserved.

    Cărţi miraculoase din colecţia Bibliotecii [Articol]

    The study analyzes the presence in library colection of some unique books, original, miraculous in its appearance, volume and size located along the years. Users will find these books and use them within the framework of theoretical and practical lessons, during the professional practice. These books are fun and educational at the same time, from the book-toy to the masterpieces of Romanian and universal literature. The article examines what kind of miraculous books are located in the library's collection(small size books, miniature books, large-size books, sound books, the books in the form of "characters"; original books by appearance, luxury books, book-pillow. And when a writer wants to be original, some books have titles of the most unusual (A beer for my horse; Rain with pretzels; An ox on railway station; A pice of advice of Gregory cat; The sleep of the Earth; Mental powders etc.).

    Colecţia de publicaţii periodice moldoveneşti - parte a patrimoniului naţional [Articol]

    University Scientific Library offers many Moldovan titles of periodical publications weekly or monthly, of speciality or current news for consultation in the reading rooms or home loan.In the tables No 1; No. 2; Nr. 3 are presented magazines lists on fields that in their evolution have changed not only in content but also in naming. In library collections there are over 200 titles of magazines published in Moldova. Even the magazines are presented since their establishment year. We notice that the magazines are a diverse source of information, documentation within studies and research activities.

    Scientific Library keeps rare collection of theological, moral and religious periodicals, mostly donated from Vasile Ioan Nicorici , inhabitant of mun. Balti. The donation amount 750 documents in 694 titles, including 86 periodicals in 8 titles. Through this work we aimed to achieve a description of religious and theological periodicals, which is of great scientific value both for students and teachers and for various researchers.

    This article includes information about the magazine ˶ Weat Grains” which brings together in its pages cultural history and literary articles, information about congresses, conferences, exhibitions, theatrical and musical seasons. Emanoil Bucuţa was founder and director of the magazine ˶ Weat Grains” between 1930-1935, sociological document of real informative value. Issues of this magazines from 1931 till 1934 are kept in Rare Periodical Collection of USARB Scientific Library.

    Colecţia Ioan Nicorici - 10 ani de succes [Articol]

    In 2010, the „Ioan Nicorici” collection was established, in honor of the inhabitant of Bălţi municipality. The donation counts 750 copies in 694 titles, in 7 languages (Romanian, Russian, Slavonic, German, Latin, Greek, French). Over 500 books, including nine titles of periodicals, make up the collection of old and rare books, treasures of the past, which were used for church reading and singing and which is the most visible testimony of the continuity of the Romanian spirit. The collection belonged to the one who was a worthy servant of GOD, to the priest Gheorghe Armaşu (1914-1992), the fearless owner and keeper of the valuable spiritual library. For 10 years, the USARB Scientific Library has been dedicated to the mission of contributing to ensuring access to the documentary resources from the „Ioan Nicorici”collection.

    În patrimoniul BŞ USARB, prin intermediul Asociaţiunii ASTRA, Despărţământul „Mihail Kogălniceanu” Iaşi, preşedinte Areta Moşu, au fost achiziţionate ca donaţie documente din Colecţia Profesorului Mircea Filip (1930-2015). Valoarea informaţională şi de patrimoniu a donaţiei a condiţionat organizarea Colecţiei „Mircea Filip”.
