    In this article we aim to observe various aspects, advantages and disadvantages, of the application of the rating method in the evaluation of the banking sector. The rating method is important for ensuring the comparability of banks' activity and the classification of banks in descending order according to certain indicators. Also, the rating allows us to determine the degree of stability of the banking sector.
