    Istoria şi memoria deportărilor staliniste în comuna Chişcăreni, raionul Sângerei [Articol]

    The Soviet deportations were a long life tragedy for the population of the Moldavian SSR, occurring in three waves in 1941, 1949 and 1951. In Chişcăreni commune of Sângerei dystrict, deportations were particularly harsh, targeting hardworking individuals who represented the village’s elite. Their arrest and forced exhile were followed by the confiscation of property, with the best households repurposed by Soviet authorities. The fate of those deported remains unknown and silenced for a long period of time. This communication aims to experience of suffering and humiliation, but at the same time of courage and resistance proved by the inhabitant of Chişcăreni commune of Sângerei dystrict, through the author’s valorization rchival documents, bibliographic sources, and oral history testimonies, in order to shed light on their spiritual resilience and labor hardships.
